I have worked in 4 schools directly to date covering various workshops for primary children. The ideas I have incorporated have been to educate, understand and give an ‘option to all’ perspective for children of all needs considered. I like to design workshops that are not only appropriate to circumstance but make it a fun, enjoyable, as well as a hands on experience for children.
Since the start of my workshops began working with mainstream students, as a professional artist and designer I wanted to put all my other skills into action, I decided I wanted to be able to work with specialist children as well as mainstream, and after qualifying in art therapy, sensory and specialist teaching and learning in schools (level 3 CACHE complex needs) behaviour management, early year’s trauma, safeguarding and hoist training qualifications this would be to give those children a chance to learn, explore, aid motor skills, memory, enjoy etc. as well as give those who are gifted in arts and craft a chance to excel and be found.
I have an enhanced DBS on the updating service to work with children and I have worked on mask making projects with students and carers, Hindu education and art projects, exploring wildlife arts and crafts, Halloween and Christmas arts and crafts projects to date.
I can offer a wide range of special workshops designed for your organisation/company. If there is a particular subject you would like me to work on I can negotiate with you and plan a fantastic day/half day/session around what you require, we can work together to make your projects come to life and give a truly enjoyable experience to your children.
Here are some examples of some of the work I have done in schools.
